If you have the time, explore Punakha:

Punakha Dzong: At the meeting point of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers, Punakha Dzong is a magnificent dzong that is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in all of Bhutan. It has a long history and is a marvel of architecture.
Suspension Bridge: If you have time, you should also stop by the neighboring suspension bridge, which is one of the longest in Bhutan and provides beautiful views of the valley and river.

Evening:

supper: In a more urban setting than the hike, enjoy supper at your hotel or at a nearby restaurant. Sample some local Bhutanese food.
Unwind: Take some time to unwind, think back on the hike, and take in Punakha’s peace and quiet this evening.

Spend the night in Punakha in the comfort of your hotel or guesthouse, taking advantage of the calmer surroundings and reduced altitude.

Day 15 offers a mild transition back into more metropolitan settings, giving you time to take in Punakha’s historical and cultural attractions and mull over the experience.
