Everest Base Camp Heli Trek

This 11-day Everest Base Camp Heli Trek will take you to the foot of the majestic mountain. This expedition include hiking to the base of Mount Everest and taking a helicopter from Gorakshep back to Kathmandu. You will arrive in Tenzing-Hillary Airport, Lukla, one of the highest airports in the world, at an altitude of 2860 meters, on this trip.

The hiking routes go past hills, valleys, forests, and suspension bridges. The thrilling scenes through the traditional Khumbu Valley settlement will also astound you. See the forest’s fauna, the expansive scenery, and the magnificent vistas of Ama Dablam, Makalu, Pumori, and other places.

The main hub of the Everest Base Camp Trek for this particular journey is Namche Bazar. You experience nature as it truly is when you pass through the Sagarmatha National Park. Explore the traditional Sherpa community and discover more about their way of life and culture high in the mountains. A panoramic view of all the mountain ranges can be obtained by climbing Kala Patthar. The Everest View Hotel, which has 360-degree views of Mount Everest and is the highest hotel in the world, is one of the Namche’s attractions. A popular hiking site is Mount Everest Base Camp, which you should visit as well. Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu

Our representative from the Mission Nepal Team will meet you upon arrival at TIA and provide you with an overview of your programs. You can unwind after checking into the hotel because we don’t have any scheduled activities for the day.

Fly to Lukla then Trek to Phakding (2652m | 8699ft) Walking Distance: 8 km | Duration: 3 hours

You will go to Lukla (2,845 m | 9,334 ft) today by a captivating and picturesque 30-minute flight. One of the highest airports in the world is the Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla. You will hike to Phakding after arriving in Lukla, passing by a wonderful verdant forest and the magnificent vista of Kusum Kangraru.

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft)Distance: 10 to 12 km, Duration: 6 hours

You will hike to Namche Bazaar on this day, following the Dudh Koshi River and passing through cedar and Himalayan pine forests. Dried meat, salt, and textiles are traded between Tibetan and Nepalese traders at Namche, a well-known medieval trading center. You can purchase traditional crafts and attend local markets here. The first glimpses of Everest and the surrounding peaks appear.

Acclimatization Hike to Everest View Hotel (3962m | 13000ft) Distance: 4 KM | 2.4 M

You will have an acclimatization day on this day to ensure that you are adequately acclimated to the high altitude. We have the option to trek to Syangboche Airport, one of the highest airports on the planet, which is located at a height of 3700 meters. You will climb to the Everest View Hotel as well, where you may take in the breathtaking view of Lhotse, Amadablam, and Everest.

You may also check out the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery before heading back to Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Tengboche (3860m/12660ft) Walking Distance: 11 KM | Duration: 5-6 Hours

Today, you will leave Namche Bazaar and climb to Tengboche, which is located at an elevation of 3860 meters. You’ll see a vista of Mount Everest while taking a leisurely stroll. You will also descend to Pungki Thanka, which is the base of the Dudh Koshi Valley. Ascending from the Dudh Koshi valley’s right side, Tengboche Monastery (3860m) will eventually come into view. You will be utterly enthralled by the breathtaking vistas of Mount Amadablam, Mount Everest, and its surrounding peaks from here.

Trek to Dingboche (4410m/14464ft) Walking Distance: 11 to 12 KM | Duration: 5 hours

You will descend through beautiful forests and follow the Imja River after leaving Tengboche, arriving at Dingboche, which is 4,410 meters above sea level. You will travel via the 3,900-meter-high town of Pangboche along the way. Enchanting vistas of peaks like Lhotse and Ama Dablam are available along the route. You will reach Dingboche as you proceed, passing by meadows used for grazing.

Hiking to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m) Walking Distance: 5 to 6 KM | Duration: 3-4 hours

You will spend another day in Dingboche acclimating to the greater height. Additionally, you will trek to Nangkartshang, a hill on the outskirts of the Chhukung valley that is located above Dingboche. The trail might be difficult to hike since it occasionally becomes steep. You may see breathtaking vistas of Ama Dablam, Taboche Peak, Lobuche West, Thamserku, Lobuche East, and Kangtega from Nagerjun. You could also be able to see Mount Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world, on a clear day. Next, we’ll stroll back to Dingboche and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Trek to Lobuche (4910m/16105ft) Walking Distance: 11 Km | Duration: 5 Hours

You will hike today towards Thukla, an area that turns bleak and arid, with only a few alpine bushes strewn along the trail leading uphill to Khumbu Glacier. There are stone memorials honoring climbers who have died at Thukla Pass, a steep and difficult route up the slope.

As you reach Lobuche town from beyond the pass, the landscape changes to green lowlands and stony pathways. This community has no permanent settlements; instead, it is primarily made up of teahouses catering to hikers. You have views of Taboche and Nuptse from this location.

To see the Khumbu Glacier in the evening, think about trekking to the opening in the mountain wall where the moraine meets the wall.

Lobuche - Gorak Shep - EBC (5364m/17594ft.) - Gorek Shep | Distance: 14 KM | Duration: 8 hours

The day starts with a climb towards Gorak Shep and then an ascent to the foothills of Mount Everest. Views of Everest, Nuptse, and Lhoste greet you as you arrive at the Everest Base Camp, where climbers are preparing for the summit. Views of the Khumbu Glacier, the Icefall, and peaks like Nuptse and Pumori may be seen from the base camp. Take pictures of these moments and then head back to Gorak Shep (5181m/16994ft) to spend the night.

Hiking to Kalapattar (5545m/18188ft) – Gorekshep – Kathmandu by Helicopter

This is yet another important day in the journey. Your journey will commence at an early hour in order to witness the breathtaking dawn from Kala Patthar (5545m), the ideal location for observing Mount Everest and other breathtaking Himalayan peaks.

You’ll then head back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. You’ll relish a delightful helicopter trip back to Kathmandu after a filling lunch.

Enjoy tranquil aerial views of the breathtaking terrain and the expansive Himalayan range during the journey.

Farewell

We will assist you in driving to Kathmandu International Airport roughly three hours prior to the scheduled departure once we have had our breakfast.
