One of the largest rhododendron woods in the world is traversed throughout the hike!

Along this tour, you will also get a peek at some of Nepal’s best tourist destinations, including the stunning Annapurna Valley, secluded towns and villages, flowing rivers, mountainous terrain, rich green rhododendron forests, and well-known UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The second-favorite tourist destination in Nepal, Pokhara, provides tranquil evening strolls along Phewa Taal’s lakefront or relaxing in one of the area’s many eateries and bars. Pokhara is particularly well-known for its exhilarating paragliding activity and boat cruises.

The Annapurna Valley hike will increase your understanding of the Gurungs and Magars, the native people of the area. Your contacts with them will acquaint you with their customs, culture, and way of life.

Birethanti, Tikhe Dhunga, Ulleri, Ghorepani, Tadapani, Ghandruk, and Kimche are a few of the communities along the routes. Additionally, you will trek to Poon Hill, the most well-liked spot to see the sunrise over a number of mountains, including Mt. Himchuli (6,111 m), Mt. Annapurna (7,219 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,933 m).

Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

When you arrive at the TIA, a member of the Mission Nepal team will greet you. They will take you to a three-star hotel located in the center of Thamel, the tourist area of Kathmandu. Our representative will provide you with a trip briefing later.

The remainder of your day is yours. If your jet lag hasn’t worn you out, you can take your time seeing some of the surrounding sites.

Day Tour of Kathmandu's Major Sites

Your journey through Nepal will start with a visit to some of the historic and religious locations in Kathmandu. You will see Kathmandu Durbar Square, an old palace of the Shah and Mall rulers, as part of the day trip. The huge white building of the palace is surrounded by an abundance of architectural treasures. To protect Nepal’s archaeological past, these historic temples have been preserved.

Sacred Buddhist temple Swoyambhunath Temple is perched atop a hill with a view of the city. You may take in an unhindered view of the city and the surrounding scenery on a clear day. You will also visit the Boudhanath Stupa, which is a Buddhist attraction. All day long, a large number of devotees will be circling the Stupa there.

The final location to see is the revered Hindu landmark of Pashupatinath Temple, where hundreds of pilgrims travel from all over the world to honor Lord Shiva.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Distance: 201 Km, Duration: 6 to 7 hrs drive

Following an early breakfast, you will travel to Pokhara via tourist bus. It will take approximately seven hours of driving on the Prithvi and Pushpalal highways to arrive in Pokhara’s Lakeside.

Along the route, you will pass through charming villages, verdant woods, terraced crops, and the rushing Trisuli River of Nepal. Travelers can purchase food and drink from a number of eateries and tea booths located along the Trisuli River.

After Kathmandu, Pokhara is a popular tourist destination. It offers the most breathtaking views, including the tranquil Phewa Lake, verdant surroundings, and numerous snow-capped peaks that are visible in the distance. These features make it the perfect location to unwind in nature. From the lakeside, you can see the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Mt. Manaslu ranges on a clear day.

Once you get to Pokhara, you can choose to hang out in your hotel by the lake or go to the eateries and bars there. Afterwards, you can enjoy the lovely scenery by taking a boat ride on Phewa Lake.

Drive to Birenthanti and trek to Ulleri (1960M/6430FT) Distance: 9-10 km, Duration: 5 hrs

Following a drive through the towns of Lumle and Nayapul to Birenthanti, the trailhead for the Annapurna Panorama Trek. This is where your real trekking journey will start, passing through stunning forests, waterfalls, and swimming holes.

You will arrive at Tikhedhunga by ascending the valley and passing via Ramghai’s meadows. You will cross a suspension bridge and climb 3,300 steep stone steps to Ulleri at the conclusion of the day.

Ulleri to Ghorepani (2880m/9449 Ft) Distance: 13-14 km, Walking Duration: 7-8 Hours

Ulleri is a picturesque Magar village featuring campers and verdant grasslands. This is where you will stop for a quick rest before continuing on to Nangethanti, often known as “the naked rest house.” You will proceed to Ghorepani after lunch at Nangethanti.

Ghorepani was once a crucial hub that connected Annapurna Base Camp to a number of the region’s communities. This was once a resting point for traders who rode by on horseback, carrying their products. Before continuing on their journey, they fed and watered the horses. As a result, Ghorepani, which translates to “water for the horses,” has become the name of the cemetery where their horses are buried.

Hike to Poonhill, then trek to Tadapani (2630m/8629ft), Distance: 9 km, Duration: 6-7 Hrs

Before breakfast, you will trek to Poon Hill, a renowned viewpoint for seeing the sunrise over the massive Annapurna massif. The Annapurna I (8,091 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Machhapuchare (6,993 m), Nilgiri Himal (7,061 m), and other mountains are seen from Poon Hill.

As you watch the sun rise over the snow-capped peaks from the summit of Poon Hill, you will experience a profound sense of serenity and happiness. Many first-time hikers consider climbing Poon Hill to be a significant accomplishment because it marks a crucial turning point in their journey.

You will eat breakfast at the teahouse after returning from Poon Hill and then head to Tadapani (2,630 m). The path ascends along a ridge line amid a verdant rhododendron forest. During the spring, a lot of rhododendrons will be in flower on these pathways.

Trek to Kimche then drive to Pokhara -2 hours, Distance: 8-9 km, Duration: 6 Hour walk

The day’s itinerary is split into two sections: hiking from Tadapani to Ghandruk village and then taking a motorbike to Pokhara from there.

The majority of Ghandruk is a Gurung community encircled by verdant farms, dense woods, and towering mountains. The majestic peaks of Mt. Machapuchhare (6,933 m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,111 m), Mt. Annapurna (7,219 m), and Gangapurna (7,455 m) are all easily seen from this location.

Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, 6 to 7 hours

Following a lavish breakfast, you will travel to Kathmandu via tourist bus. You will return by the Pushpalal and Prithvi highways, which meander past towns, villages, terraced farms, mountains, and river gorges.

Last day of Annapurna Panorama Trek

A member of our Mission Nepal Team will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport three hours prior to your scheduled departure after breakfast.
