Trip Overview
HARIDWAR: One of the main places where the Ganges River leaves the mountains and enters the plains is Haridwar. Take a sacred dip in the Ganges River at Haridwar if you wish to cleanse yourself. Your sins will all be forgiven. God’s entryway is Haridwar. Haridwar is among the four locations where the annual Ardh Kumbh and the annual Kumbh Mela take place, respectively, every six years and every twelve years. It is said that amrit (nectar) drips fell into Har-Ki-Pauri’s Brahmkund, which is why it is called a dip in the Brahma kund.
Evening prayers in the most well-known bathing ghat in Har-Ki-Pauri, where Lord Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation, is said to have left his imprint on stone
KEDARNATH: (11,750 feet in altitude):Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Kedarnath range, this picturesque location is home to one of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyotirlingas. Lord Shiva, the destroyer and guardian, is also known by the name Kedar. Legend has it that the Pandavas felt bad about killing their own brothers and begged Lord Shiva’s forgiveness after defeating the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra conflict. He continually avoided them and sought safety in the shape of a bull at Kedarnath while escaping. He dove beneath the earth, leaving his hump visible, upon being pursued.
