Trip Overview
Dhampus Sarangkot Hike
Although short, the three-day hike to Dhampus Hill is highly rewarding. We arrive at Dhampus hill after passing through a brief section of woods, farm terraces, and small settlements. Arriving to Dhampus presents us with a close-up, face-to-face glimpse of the Annapurna and other mountains. We take in the breathtaking evening and morning sunsets over the Himalayas, which is a sight you will remember for a very long time. In addition to being a mountaintop overlook, Dhampus is also a tiny Gurung community.
Our knowledgeable trekking guide will come to your hotel to begin the journey, which begins in Kathmandu. We spend the second day seeing Kathmandu, stopping at the Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa. We travel to Pokhara by car on the third day of our journey. On the fourth day, we take a 2-hour trip to Phedi and then make our way to Dhampus village. It offers both natural beauty and a wealth of Gurung culture. The Gurung people’s distinct culture is present in it. The stunning views of lush hills and mountains like Machhapuchhre and Annapurna are what make it so well-liked. For visitors, it’s the ideal location to see the sun rise and set.
We trek to the Sarankot mountaintop on the fifth day of our journey. The greatest place to witness the dawn and sunset is this viewpoint, which offers breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Hiuchuli, Lamjung, and Machhapuchhre. The vista of Phewa Lake and the Pokhara Valley is equally nice. After enjoying a sunset view in the evening, we spend the night at the hotel. We enjoyed a fishtail and a panoramic view of the sunrise over the Annapurna range when we got up early the following day. We hike to Pokhara after breakfast, where we spend the day sightseeing. We conduct a farewell party the following day after driving to Kathmandu.
