Trip Overview
Bhairab Kunda Trekking
The spiritual Bhairab Kunda Trekking Trail is sometimes referred to as the Alpine Freshwater Lakes Sindu Heritage Trails. Situated close to the Tibetan border, just outside the Kathmandu valley, this trek circuit is less popular. It has the etymological distinction of being a popular destination for Hindu devotees on pilgrimages. Shamans who are believed to be able to connect with spirits from both worlds often travel to Bhairab Kunda.
The fiercest and most venerated incarnation of the Hindu god Lord Shiva is honored by this particular lake. Thousands of pilgrims come to Bhairab Kunda on August’s full moon day to take a holy dip.
This is a pilgrimage route that passes through verdant forests, gorgeous peaks, a variety of ethnic hamlets, and stunning vistas of the mountains. Views of the Tibetan Himalayan Range, Dorje Lakpa, Madiya, Phurbi Ghhyachu, Jugal Himal, and Rolwaling may be seen from this hike. You will have the chance to learn about the cultures and customs of the ethnic people you encounter while hiking.
Since this is an untraveled trekking route, camping is required as teahouse lodges are not accessible. Trekking in Bhairab Kunda is possible all year round, with the exception of the rainy season when the trails become hazardously slick. Consequently, spring and fall are the ideal seasons to embark on this trekking adventure.
Mission Nepal Holidays provides a 12-day Bhairab Kunda Trek with an excellent, custom-designed itinerary at an affordable price. We firmly believe that your trip on this freshwater trekking trail will transform your life.
