Complete Packing List for the Everest Base Camp Trek
Trekking to the base of the world’s tallest mountain, Everest Base Camp is an exciting adventure that takes you through Nepal’s Khumbu region. For those that take on the challenge, it’s an incredible accomplishment and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But since mountain weather is erratic, it’s important to know what to bring, especially for first-time hikers.
To help you plan what to bring for your Everest Base Camp hike and other high-altitude activities in Nepal, we’ve put together a thorough packing list. Our goal is to assist you in packing lightly and intelligently so that you may make sure you have everything you need without going overboard.
Mission Nepal provides all the necessities for your Everest Base Camp hike, such as lodging, three meals a day, a sleeping bag, a duffel bag, and an all-season down jacket. The maximum that porters can weigh per person is 15 kg, which is the same as the weight restriction on flights from Lukla. As such, it’s critical to pack carefully.
