Lasha – Everest Base Camp – Lasha

One of the best trips to the northern Everest Base Camp in Tibet is the Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour. It offers a wide range of cultural viewing opportunities, showcases the splendor of nature, and descends to the foot of the world’s highest peak. You will be rewarded in particular with Tibet’s natural, historical, and cultural attractions.

Starting with your flight from Kathmandu, the Lhasa Everest Base Camp Tour takes you to Lhasa (3660m), where you will be enthralled with the views of the enormous peaks, such as Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8536m), and others. We will visit the historic Sera monastery and the opulent 17th-century Norbulingka palace in Lhasa, which is surrounded by the largest man-made park in Tibet. We will also visit the Jokhang Temple, one of Tibet’s holiest sites. The trip’s other highlight is going to the 17th-century reconstruction of Potala Palace. The world’s largest monastery, the Drepung Monastery, will also be on our itinerary.

Traveling to Shigatse by way of the Tsangpo River, crossing Khampa La (15,700 feet), and taking in the breathtaking vistas of Yamdrok Lake and the striking peak of Ningdzingzonka will captivate you beyond measure. We can tour Pelkor Monastery in Gyantse. Additionally, we will pass through Gyamtso La and stop at Sakya and Natang Monasteries en route to Tingri. We will drive across the Pang La 5150 m, which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas, and visit the Rongbuk Monastery before arriving at Everest Base Camp. Finally, in order to see the stunning north face of the highest peak and other breathtaking vistas, we will trek to the Everest Base Camp (5250m).

Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu

When you arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan International Airport, an airport official will meet and greet you. S/he will give a quick rundown of the excursion. We don’t have any activities planned for today. All you have to do is check into the hotel. Spend the night in the hotel.

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tours

You will go on a sightseeing trip of the Kathmandu Valley on this day. You will tour the Kathmandu Valley’s World Heritage Sites. In particular, you will see the Hanuman Dhoka palace and other temples with exquisite artwork when you visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. You will also go to Swayambhunath Temple, also called the Monkey Temple, which boasts a rooftop perspective of Kathmandu. You will then travel to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist stupas in the world, and drive to Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest Hindu temple. hotel stay for the night with breakfast included.

Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa

This is your third day in Nepal, and on this day you will depart from Kathmandu and fly to Lhasa (3660 m), which is one of the famous air routes on earth for presenting magnificent views. The astonishing views of the highest peaks, including Kanchenjunga (8536 m), Everest (8848 m), etc., will completely hypnotize you. As you reach the Gongar Airport, you will drive to Lhasa, which takes around 2 hours. The remaining time of the day, we can just rest. Overnight at the hotel; breakfast included.

Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa

This day will include a sightseeing trip of Lhasa. We’re going to Sera Monastery, which has been around for a while. We will also go to the Dalai Lama’s summer residence, the stunning Norbulingka Palace, which dates back to the 17th century. The palace is surrounded by the greatest man-made garden in Tibet. We proceed to the Jokhang Temple, which is a prominent Buddhist shrine that is frequented by a large number of followers from throughout the country. Additionally, we’ll get to take a stroll around Barkor, which is Lhasa’s main market and is a maze of little streets. hotel stay for the night with breakfast included.

Second day sightseeing tour in Lhasa

On this day, we will also have a sightseeing tour of Lhasa. We’re going to Potala Palace, a stunning building that houses the Dalai Lama’s personal residence. The palace was rebuilt in the seventeenth century and has several stunning rooms as well. We will also visit the Drepung Monastery on this day, which is home to some 10,000 monks and was constructed in the fourteenth century. It is the largest monastery on the planet. Second day sightseeing tour in Lhasa

We will travel 350 kilometers by car from Lhasa to Shigatse, which will take around 7 hours to reach. We will travel alongside the Tsangpo River and ascend to Khampa La (15,700 feet) along the route. The breathtaking summit of Ningdzingzonka and the vistas of Yamdrok Lake below will also be our rewards. We will drive to Gyantse, where we can tour the area around Pelkor Monastery, heading west along the lake. The largest of the three Kumbums in Tibet, Gyantse Kumbum, with nine stories and remarkable chapels on each step, is also housed within the monastery. And last, after around two hours of driving, we will arrive at Shigatse. Hotel stay for the night with breakfast included.

Shigatse to Tingri (4150m/13612ft) visit Natang and Sakya Monastery, 274 Km, 6 hrs

Driven from Shigatse, Tingri is located at an elevation of 4150 meters. When the picturesque backdrop appears, we shall travel the entire length of the Friendship Highway in a cross-wise manner. In addition, we’ll travel through the 5220-meter-high Gyamtso La Pass and past the little village of Lhatse. We will also get the chance to stop at the Natang Monastery, which is located 12 kilometers from Shigaste, on the way. We’ll also take a car to Sakya Monastery. On this day, we’ll drive for around six hours until arriving at Tingri. Guesthouse overnight stay with breakfast included.

Tingri to Rongbuk (5000m/16400ft) 68 Km, 2 hrs

We will go from Tingri to Rongbuk on this day, arriving after around two hours of driving. We will go southward, passing across the Pang La 5150 m pass, which offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayan peaks stretching from Makalu to Shishapangma. After crossing the pass, we will arrive in the Rongbuk Valley, where the breathtaking Everest view is visible. We will also go to the well-known Rongbuk Monastery, a revered Buddhist location founded by Nyingmapa Lama in 1902 where we may witness meditation huts that have been used for more than 400 years by monks and solitary individuals. Guesthouse overnight stay with breakfast included.

Explore Everest Base Camp (5250m/17220ft) and then Shigatse, 340 Km, 7-8 hrs

Of the whole journey, this is the most incredible day. We’ll get up early to see the breathtaking sunrise over the summit of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. After that, we’ll trek to the 5,250-meter Everest Base Camp to take in the breathtaking vistas and the allure of the highest peak’s north face. Once we have experienced the most breathtaking portion of the journey, we will take the same route back to Shigatse. Hotel stay for the night with breakfast included.

Shigatse to Lhasa

We will drive from Shigatse to Lhasa, which should take around 5 hours. We will stop at Tashilumo Monastery on route, which was established in 1448 by the first Dalai Lama and is currently occupied by Panchen Lama, a similarly pious person in Tibet. The highest statue of the Buddha in Tibet is kept at the monastery. We’ll then take a car back to Lhasa. Hotel stay for the night with breakfast included.

Fly back to Kathmandu

After our fantastic tour, we will travel back to Kathmandu on this day. Spend the night in a Kathmandu hotel.

Farewell
