Trip Overview

Kathmandu Chitlang Kulekhani Hiking

Explore the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and adventure activities in and around the Kathmandu Valley with the popular Kathmandu, Chitlang, and Kulekhani tour itinerary. After visiting UNESCO-designated monuments, the tour typically starts with a drive to Chitalng. A little village called Chitlang is situated around 22 kilometers from Kathmandu in the southern portion of the Kathmandu Valley. Organic farming, a traditional way of life, and breathtaking scenery are the village’s main draws. Hiking, birdwatching, and socializing with the locals are among the activities available to visitors who can explore the area on foot or by bicycle. After that, we travel to Kulekhani, a picturesque location 65 kilometers from Kathmandu in the Sindhupalchowk district. The Kulekhani Dam, one of the largest in Nepal, and the hydroelectricity project in the vicinity are well-known. Adventure activities abound in Kulekhani for visitors to enjoy, including hiking, boating, fishing, and camping. For those who are curious about the project and its effects on the neighborhood, the Kulekhani Hydropower Station also provides guided excursions.

Kathmandu Sightseeing tour

Our guided tour of four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu will start after breakfast. The first destination is the Durbar Square in Kathmandu, which was formerly the royal residence of the ancestors who governed the Kathmandu Kingdom.

We will next proceed to the Pashupatinath Temple, which is considered to be one of the holiest places on earth for Hindus. We will also visit some of the most well-known Buddhist stupas in Kathmandu, such as Swayambhunath, which is in the center of the city and is sometimes referred to as the Monkey Temple because of the abundance of monkeys that live in the temple grounds.

In conclusion, we will tour Bouddhanath, one of the biggest stupas on Earth and a well-liked tourist attraction and Buddhist pilgrimage center in Kathmandu. Around fifty Tibetan gompas, or monasteries, are another reason for the Boudhnath area’s fame. Immersion in Nepal’s rich cultural and religious legacy will be made possible by this tour.
