Ghorepani Poon Hill Treks

An intriguing and well-known trek for those who enjoy the outdoors is the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek in the Annapurna region. Arrival in Kathmandu and Check-in to Hotel

Greetings from Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu. An official from Mission Nepal Holidays will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation for the night, per your schedule. You can take advantage of your hotel’s cultural supper in the evening.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu

We are going on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu today. We go to the sacred temple of Pashupatinath, the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You get a glimpse of our vibrant history and culture in Nepal with this tour. Visitors to Pashupatinath Temple get an opportunity to experience the distinct essence of Hindu customs surrounding life, death, and rebirth. Early in the morning or late in the evening are the ideal times to visit the temple.

The biggest stupa in Nepal is called Bouddhanath. It is regarded as the most sacred Tibetan Buddhist temple located outside of Tibet. Rich in Buddhist iconography, it is the hub of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu.One of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal is Swayambhunath. The stupa stands for the mind of Buddha. In the end, it aids in our pursuit of absolute enlightenment and grants happiness, freedom, and peace to everyone on Earth.

One of the most remarkable examples of traditional architecture is Kathmandu Durbar Square. The old palaces serve as a symbol of the people’s cultural and religious life. The Living Goddess Kumari Ghar, Kastha Mandap, Maru Ganesh, Mahadev Temple, Shiva Parvati Temple, Kal Bhairav, Bhagawati Temple, Big Drums, Old Palace, Saraswati Temple, Jagannath Temple, Krishna Octangular Temple, and Taleju Temple are the main points of interest to view here.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara – transfer to hotel

Situated around 6 to 7 hours distant from Kathmandu, the stunning city of Pokhara serves as the beginning point for the Annapurna Base Camp climb. We set out early in the morning on our excursion. The numerous turns and turns make the road trip enjoyable. Beautiful vistas of the Himalayas, verdant meadows, and riverbanks are seen. The Trishuli, Marsyangdi, and Narayani rivers provide for an amazing drive. We can spend the night in Pokhara since it will heighten the excitement of the excursion. We can take part in the cultural supper surrounding our hotel in the evening.

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, then trek to Tikhedhunga

We set out early in the morning on our excursion. In two hours, we can travel from Pokhara to Nayapul. From Nayapul the journey starts. We travel through Thikhedunga Khola and Birethanti. This path is primarily uphill, with several paving stones, stairs, a bridge, and numerous signs to facilitate our navigation. It takes us 4 hours to get from Nayapul to Thikedhunga. Upon arriving to Tikhedhunga, we discover a delightful celebration that enlivens the night with songs, dances, and displays of the local way of life. We spend the night in Tikhedhunga.

Trek from Thikhedunga to Ghorepani

Our hike begins at Tikhedunga after breakfast. We keep going uphill and through numerous staircases to arrive at the town of Ghorepani. It requires six hours. The hike runs through gorgeous green spaces with a forest of rhododendron and rice fields, offering stunning views of Nepal’s Himalayan range. Animals and birds in the wild are abundant. Poon Hill and Gurung Hill View Point are two of Ghorepani’s most remarkable locations for taking in the peace of dawn and dusk. Our overnight stay is at Ghorepani.

Hike up to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani

We have to rise early today in order to make the ascent to Poonhill. It takes us an hour to get to Poonhill. We can see the stunning dawn over the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges from Poonhill. The location is ideal for taking in breathtaking views of numerous peaks, including the Annapurna South, Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Hiuchuli, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri ranges, Tukuche peak, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre, and Mt. Manaslu ranges. We return to Ghorepani after gathering this memories in Poonhill and begin our walk to Tadapani there. We witness a dense forest of rhododendron, bamboo, oak, and rock along the Tadapani trail. We also see wild creatures, birds, and verdant scenes. On foot, it takes six hours. There is a little Gurung valley with a rhododendron forest all around it. We stay the night at the Tadapani Lodge.

Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk

We climb to Ghandruk after eating breakfast at Tadapani. Tadapani and Ghandruk are separated by 6.5 kilometers. Walking takes three to four hours. Thus, the day hike is simpler. To go to Ghandruk, we travel via Bhaisi Kharka and a deep forest. Views of Mt. Annapurna South (7219m), Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,997m), Mt. Himchuli (6441m), and Mardi Himal are available from this village. The largest Gurung village is called Ghandruk. In this village, we may learn about the way of life and culture of the Gurung people. After spending one to two hours at the Ghandruk Gurung Museum, we return to the hotel to relax. We stay the night at the Ghandruk Lodge.

Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara

Today, we leave Ghandruk after breakfast to begin our adventure. Ghandruk and Nayapul are located 8.6 kilometers apart. To go to Nayapul, we must climb for four to five hours. It takes us 2.5 hours on foot to get to Sauli Bazar and 1.5 hours to get to Birethati. It will take us another twenty-five minutes to climb to Nayapul. It takes two hours to get from Nayapul to Pokhara. We can take advantage of the hotel’s cultural supper in the evening. The night is spent in Pokhara.

Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara

We leave Pokhara for Kathmandu after eating breakfast. Six to seven hours pass. Once we reach Kathmandu, one of our staff will take you to the appropriate hotel. You have a goodbye meal in the evening to commemorate finishing the journey. Stay in Kathmandu for the night.
