Arrive in Kathmandu

When you arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, one of our agents will meet and greet you. Make your way to the lodging by car.

Make yourself at ease. There aren’t any scheduled opportunities to decompress and rest following your trip. Recharge for the upcoming adventures!

Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu

Our first day will start with a sightseeing trip of Kathmandu Durbar Square, an ancient location where the dwelling goddesses of Nepal and kings are crowned.

We will next travel to Swayambhunath Temple, popularly referred to as the Monkey Temple. Here, at a historically significant holy site, monkeys run free.

Next is one of the largest circular stupas, Boudhanath. It features a mandala, a symbol of peace that is thought to contain relics from the Buddha.

The oldest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath Temple, is where we will finally spend our last trip of the day. There, we can observe many Hindu rites and take pleasure in the customs.

Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m/ 2691ft), Distance: 204 km, Duration: 6-7 hours

It takes roughly 6 to 7 hours to go from Kathmandu to Pokhara through the gorges of the Trishuli, Marsayngdi, and Seti rivers. Along the way, there are many of wonderful sights to see, like rafters, busses, tiny towns, and villages. There are plenty of eateries along the way, particularly in the Kuritar/Mugling area.

Enjoy a relaxing boat trip on Fewa Lake at night, where you can view the serene waters reflecting the stunning reflected image of Mount Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna Range.

Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri (1960 m/6431ft) and trek to Banthanti (2210m); Distance: 1-2 hrs

Note: We offer quick jeep rides to Ulleri, which has more than three thousand stairs. Families with children and senior citizens who want a more comfortable travel should choose this choice.

We take to the road after breakfast to begin our journey. Before we arrive in Hile, permits are checked on Birethanti. The Lumle road to Nayapul is in excellent condition and takes around an hour. After that, the path gets a little tough, so be ready for some strain.

We will begin our first hike to Banthanti from Ulleri.

Banthanti to Ghorepani (2880m/9449 Ft) Distance: 6 km, Duration: 3-4 Hours

The distance of our walk from Banthanti to Ghorepani is greater. Be at ease! The uphills aren’t as steep, though, so you can take your time and enjoy the hike with your family. You might be able to see Himchuli’s breathtaking sunrise views while traveling. The terrain will gradually rise to Nangethanti, or “Thanti” in Nepali, the “region of rest,” as the experience goes on.

Trek to Ghorepani from Nangethanti. Permit documents are double-checked before we head to our ultimate target today: Ghorepani, a modern village with lots of amenities including bakeries, bookstores, and warm water.

Amazing views of Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m), Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Nilgiri (6940 m), and their surrounding peaks may be yours during the walk.

Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (2630m/8629ft) Distance: 9 km, Duration: 7-8 Hrs

With water, flashlights, and cameras, we set out early in the morning for a 45-minute hike up Poon Hill. Although there are stone stairs on the steep climb, the path is easy to follow. Prior to reaching Poon Hill, there is a ticket desk. A stunning dawn greets us at the summit, along with breathtaking vistas of Fishtail, Annapurna South, Mt. Dhaulagiri, the Himalayas, and more. For the best 360-degree views of the Mountains, you could even ascend to the tower. Seize this unique moment with your own family and those you hold dear.

We return later and have breakfast at Ghorepani along the same path. Then, we pass through verdant rhododendron trees and past the settlement of Deurali, which has numerous ups and downs. We will be rewarded with amazing views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Fishtail, Annapurna, etc. if the weather is good.

Trek to Ghandruk (1940 m/ 6365) Distance: 6 km, Duration: 3-4 Hours

We have the good fortune to see the dawn this morning before setting out on our hike. After breakfast, we set off on an easy route with flat and downhill paths so that we may unwind and enjoy the trek with our loved ones. We travel past mules, the Annapurna Range, deep forests, and Bhaisi Kharka.

After stopping at the Annapurna Conservation Office and the quaint Gurung community, we reach the tranquil Gurung village of Ghandruk. I’ll take you on a tour of the Gurung Museum. Even so, the vistas of Machhapurchhe, Himchuli, and Mt. Annapurna are breathtaking.

Trek to Kimche (1 hour) Distance: 2 km then drive to Pokhara - 2 Hours

We experience a mixture of joy and grief as our family’s Poon Hill hike draws to a close. We’re going on a quick and simple trip today that passes through rolling farms and roads that descend. After passing the final bridge and departing from Ghandruk, we arrive in Kimche, a little settlement surrounded by greenery.

After that, we ride in a jeep back to Pokhara while taking in the breathtaking views and the shifting terrain. We pass through quaint towns and terraced farms along the route.

The family adventure trek has come to an end, but the bonds and memories it created will always remind us of how beautiful everything is.

Pokhara to Kathmandu

Our family’s mountain trip has provided us a lot of memorable events and fond memories, but it’s time to say goodbye. We set off to return to Kathmandu after a satisfying breakfast. The same path will be taken by us as we pass through stunning locations like the Seti River gorges, Marsayngdi, and Trishuli.

We are overjoyed as we drive through these breathtaking vistas, reminiscing about our enjoyable hiking experiences and our family’s special moments. We still get excited about our incredible days spent in the outdoors even though every mile we travel gets us closer to home.

Farewell/ Tour Ends

As your journey with the Nepal Hiking Team comes to an end, treasure the memories and relationships that were made. Even if this voyage is coming to an end, there are still countless others ahead.
