  • Day 01:

    Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal & Hike to Chisapani- 5 hours

  • Day 02:

    Trek to Nagarkot from Chisapani; 7 hours trek

  • Day 03:

    Hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan and Drive to Kathmandu.

  • Is Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking a tea house trek circuit?

    Primarily the Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking is a tea house trekking circuit. The tea houses here vary on their quality and style on this trek. It comprises a communal room downstairs with one or two bedrooms.

    You have to use a shared toilet, and in some tea houses hot shower facilities are also available. Tea houses use a type of burning stove in the main communal area and other rooms are unheated. Tea houses do not have money exchange facilities, hence it’s a good idea to exchange cash in Kathmandu.

  • How many guides and porters will be there in our group?

    The number of guides and porters depends upon the size of the group. Generally a group will have a group leader or a guide, and Porters for carrying your baggage packs and all the camping gear. One porter will carry two trekkers baggage.

  • How many liters of water do I have to carry in Chisapani Nagarkot Trek?

    Mostly 3-4 liters is sufficient. You will be able to refill bottles at lunch time. When you are at a high altitude you have to drink more water to get rid of altitude diseases.

  • Do I need a trekking pole?

    Yes you do need a trekking pole, it helps you save energy in high ascend and descend, if you have weak hips and knees and it helps to reduce the strain.

  • Why is it a better idea to trek with an agency rather than trekking independently?

    Trekking independently is doable, but involves seen and unforeseen risks. On the other hand trekking with the recognized agencies gives you the advantage of trekking under a systematic and a well-planned schedule. 

    Most of the times, you will be travelling with a group. The agency will also provide you with a guide and a porter. Trekking with an agency will be a little more expensive than trekking independently or solo.

    Autumn (Sept to Nov) and spring (Feb to April) are considered to be the best seasons to visit Nepal for trekking. As autumn brings clarity after monsoon washes away the dust and bugs; spring days are warmer and longer which allows you to explore for longer hours.

  • How many miles do we walk every day?

    It varies with each trip of course. On an average we cover 4–7 hours per day, with a lunch break of 1–2 hours in the middle.

  • Can we change the Chisapani Nagarkot Trek itinerary?

    Absolutely yes, we do customize the itinerary as per your wish. However you need to inform it in advance before the trek starts. Sometimes, because of unforeseen circumstances in the mountains, we need to change the itinerary. However, the date of trek completion should always be in line with the pre-established itinerary.

  • Is it possible to communicate to my family while trekking?

    You can have easy access to communication but in remote areas we use satellite phone. So communication won’t be an issue.

  • Is there tipping compulsory for guides and porters?

    Tipping is not necessary although tipping for guide and staff is good practice, porter and guide expect tip, your tip help their family.
